🌿 My Mission🌿: Guiding You to a regulated Nervous System & Inner calm
Hello dear reader😊,
I am happy to welcome you here; I know blog posts might not be a thing anymore, yet I still like to share my thoughts in this format.
Recently, I gained more clarity (and definition) about my mission statement and how I wish to help others along the way.
Although I have carried this in my heart for a long time, I found the right words (I hope) to express my mission statement more clearly. Especially to you!😊
My mission: (and more insights below)
I help as many people (and animals) as possible to reach their inner calm & clarity through regulating their nervous system.
Throughout many years of self-development (15 years+), working together with my coaching clients (5 years+), and now also with breathwork clients, it has become clearer to me how important a regulated nervous system is. I have been privileged to witness (and also experience) what can happen once you release stress, tension, worries and overthinking. Our body can often get stuck in a dysregulated state of being; regulating our nervous system helps our body to come back to a calmer state of being, influencing chemical processes and autonomous processes (lower heart rate etc.) and also it will affect your body & mind in a more positive way.
💫Inner calm. Inner clarity. Ease 💫
When we feel lost, stuck, stressed or anxious, then chances are high that our nervous system is dysregulated.
We lose the connection to our inner calm, peace, and knowing. It impacts the relationship between ourselves and our loved ones.
A regulated nervous system (or finding your way back to one) will be one of your most essential tools for you to live a happier and more fulfilled life. It will be a game changer if you make it your priority to regulate and soothe yourself.
I noticed a big difference in my way of living, how I interact with others, and how I react (or not) to challenges and curve balls life throws me sometimes. It also had immense positive effects on my brain (ADHD) and symptoms.
I am a notorious overthinker, a “going down a spiral” kind of person, and I am highly sensitive (emotions and energies), which often leaves me easily dysregulated.
Regularly soothing myself, taking time to slow down, and engaging in mindful practises have been helping me tremendously.
I can also witness the same changes in my clients.
I had the honour to hold space for many people in different ways in the past. Either through mindset coaching sessions (Self-awareness and growth), breathwork, or guided meditation experiences.
What I noticed in others and myself is simply that:
A regulated version of YOU leads to a more authentic you. It also has amazing positive effects on my brain (ADHD) and helps massively to manage it.
So, from my heart to yours, I would like to encourage you to try out practices that help you regulate your nervous system.
My personal favourites are:
- Breathwork & Meditation: as a breathwork facilitator (250+hrs Journey the Breath) and practised guided meditation host, I see immense value in the power of breath and taking the time to slow down.
If you haven’t experienced breathwork before, I highly recommend to try it out.
It allows us to connect deeper to our body & breath, moving energies within, helping us to deeply relax, release and experience inner calm.
Other practises you can explore:
Grounding in nature (touching a tree, grass, smelling flowers, swimming)
Mindful activities and practising mindfulness
Movement (Yoga, Dancing etc)
Big hugs (hugging a loved one, or yourself)
Soothing bath or shower
Massaging neck area (Vagus nerve)
Cold water exposure
A mindful moment, grounding to the earth, in Co.Kerry 2024
In the future, I will be posting more about soothing practices, tips and techniques to help you along the way.
